County Distributive Housing

County Distributive Housing (CDH) is a non-congregate emergency shelter program consisting of five units (35 beds). Residential properties under this program are situated within incorporated areas of Merced County. Merced County includes six incorporated cities: Merced, Atwater, Livingston, Los Banos, Gustine, and Dos Palos, with the rest classified as unincorporated.

This type of initiative is often referred to as “Satellite Navigation Centers” because, like Navigation Centers, they offer low-barrier beds and supportive services for those experiencing homelessness, but within residential homes. The program leases local homes in the unincorporated regions of Merced County and assigns a house manager to each property, facilitating connections to essential services for residents.

Operated by Mission Merced Incorporated
